Talking of driving inconsistencies, I am actually amazed and concerned about the number of drivers I see that are actually looking through the steering wheel so must have extremely limited vision!

I assume that most cars these days have a seat height adjuster, if not, use ruddy cushion then you might have a reasonably full view of the road ahead instead of obstructed by the steering wheel and top of the dashboard. You might even then be able to see the bonnet and beyond!

Probably just apathy or not wanting to RTFM. I remember, a couple of years ago my wife's cousin drove up to Scotland, with a friend, in her Honda Jazz for a weeks holiday. This was in October and they had particularly bad wet weather most of the time. When she returned, she visited us and we all went out for a meal in her Jazz. It took only moments for the screen and side windows to mist up quite badly. I suggested she switched the heater controls to demist. The answer, Oh, I don't know how any of those work so I don't touch them! 🤦‍♀️

They walk amongst us.

Just after I read this yesterday we were outside unloading a wagon and a woman drove past our yard and her head didn't even reach the base of the headrest, she was as you say looking through the steering wheel. 'My first thought how the hell can you see where you are going?"
As she was pulling out of the junction by our yard she pulled on the steering wheel to lift herself out of the seat so she could see down the road.

Failing to make sure you are sat properly, so you have a clear view of the road ahead, e.g. driving sat too low, so you can't see over the steering wheel, should be a specific offence.

Further to the above, car manufacturers need to find ways of making the A-pillar thinner without sacrificing structural strength. The thickness of the A-pillar and, the angle at which windscreens are set at in modern cars, makes them far to intrusive, especially on tight right-hand bends.

Max Verstappen's insufferable fans. I hasten to add not all his fans just a certain element. Today was Max's first NLS race at the Nurburgring and the way some of his fans were talking online, you'd think if it wasn't for Max no one would know about the NLS. Granted Max has brought a lot of attrntion to the NLS even sky F1 were showing the race but it is a very popular and well supported series. Some of his fans were also talking like he was the only decent driver of the three in his car and he was carrying the team. The other two drivers are accomplished GT drivers in their own right.
I think most of us who watch the NLS expected Max's team to win the race and they did but as I'm typing this my kids have just told me Max's team have been disqualified. They used 7 sets of tyres during the 4 hour race they are only allowed to use 6 sets. Wait for the hate online now from Max's fans.

In my wife's case they normally are.
Yesterday mine were almost left in a very nice hotel.
Needed them to read the menu......
And that leads me to :- establishments that print a menu you need a magnifying glass to actually read.
Or instructions on food packaging that you need to photograph with your phone and then zoom in to be able to read them🤬🤬🤬
