Talking of driving inconsistencies, I am actually amazed and concerned about the number of drivers I see that are actually looking through the steering wheel so must have extremely limited vision!
I assume that most cars these days have a seat height adjuster, if not, use ruddy cushion then you might have a reasonably full view of the road ahead instead of obstructed by the steering wheel and top of the dashboard. You might even then be able to see the bonnet and beyond!
Probably just apathy or not wanting to RTFM. I remember, a couple of years ago my wife's cousin drove up to Scotland, with a friend, in her Honda Jazz for a weeks holiday. This was in October and they had particularly bad wet weather most of the time. When she returned, she visited us and we all went out for a meal in her Jazz. It took only moments for the screen and side windows to mist up quite badly. I suggested she switched the heater controls to demist. The answer, Oh, I don't know how any of those work so I don't touch them! 🤦♀️
