Chin up and look after you and yours.
Sorry you have had such a sh@@ty year.
Will do - you're a good man, so thanks.

Dan was ethnically (but not religiously) Jewish, and will be buried* today in accordance with traditions - not something I was aware of. We'll host a celebration of his life at a later date, as he is being buried next to his parents and it's too long a journey.

*For obvious reasons, cremation the next day is not allowed.

My sister had to guard his room many years ago at the Principality Stadium. I can assure you that in real life he is far worse. My sister has called him Gobbie Williams ever since. Horrific individual.
Can't stand the arrogance of the bloke.

...on that subject, I've just heard Wonderwall by Oasis playing on the radio.
What diabolically terrible 'singing' (droning for effect).
What an earth is wrong with the people that regard acts like that as superstars?

I stupidly bought Oasis first album when it was released early 90's. I've yet to listen to the full album. I've tried three times but after a couple of songs it's so irritating.

Thought I'd try some of the Olympics yesterday evening - some p poor coverage. Was watching one of the baggy-clothed trustafarian events (which got massive coverage because we had someone in it) and saw the notice flag up that one of the ski jump events was on iPlayer. As what I was watching was due to finish soon, I thought 'they'll move on to that shortly, so I'll stick with it'. They didn't. Lots of meaningless chatter between the commentators and pundits, and then eventually over to the ski jump which they rattled through in about ten minutes.

I understand that many people want to focus on British competitors (whereas I'm after the best spectacle), but it's deeply disrespectful to skip live events in favour of blather. I think if I watch any more it'll be on iPlayer.

Yep driving everyone nuts I think. My daughter was watching an event on BBC2. They switched to curling again and said if you want to catch-up with the other event go to iPlayer. My daughter naturally expecting further coverage of the event got iPlayer up only to watch everything she'd already seen no actual further coverage.
