At our surgery, collecting a prescription there, straight after a consultation, usually takes only around 10 minutes but, after "improvements" to their systems, if you submit a repeat request online, the lead time has gone up from 3 days, to a week...
You can't get to see a doctor at mine - but put in a request, as I did, for something they last prescribed 5 years ago - and they send the request through to the chemist, together with a 3 month course of antibiotics that I requested.

It's easier for them to ask the chemist to give me what I ask for online, than to see me at the surgery.
They've got no idea if I even need the stuff - or indeed whether somebody else has requested it using my computer.

He gets money from the BBC Dave.
Which means 'knuckle draggers' are contributing to his obscene salary.

He's been given new guidelines by the organisation you say he values - but he's already breached them.

Like Shapps, Gullis and all those social media accounts with St. George/Union flags beside their names telling Lineker to stick to football, you haven't read those guidelines have you?

My biggest problem is with those that are influenced by his opinions.

Translation: You want to live in a fascistic echo chamber where only prescribed thought is allowed!

At the top of the page today: " We hope you have a joyous holiday season!"

Call it what it is, Christmas, people from other religions all know what it is.

BTW, I speak as an atheist, I don't believe in Christmas.
Whatever religion you may or may not believe in I don't think it has any place on a hifi forum even if it does have irrelevant subforums.

I thought it was quite nice to see the message wishing us well - doesn't really matter that it's a hi-fi forum, we're here to read it.
But the PC aspect always puts a damper on things.

What are your pet hates? It could be anything from a taste, smell, lane hoggers on motorways... anything that really gets your back up.

I hate with a passion is text speak. When you have a face-to-face conversation with someone. For example:

You say to someone I lost a winning lottery ticket, and instead of them responding "oh my God, that's awful", they go OMG. This really turns a mild mannered individual like me into a raging bull.

One of Mrs. Ps,hate is the word "flavoursome" when referring to food or drink.
Garlic. I used to work at a Marquee firm in Essex near Boreham. One the blokes there, insisted on eating garlic for breakfast. I can assure you, that being stuck in the cab of a Ford Cargo lorry for two or more hours with him on the way to erect a Marquee, was not fun by any means.

A school friend used eat a clove of garlic on the way to work.

I only ever saw him at weekends
