I don't care for the 'I' in such pieces. They aren't an individual offering an opinion, it's company stuff.

That's the kind of article that makes me think, maybe I am coming to the wrong website.

Leaving your dog's dump behind is lazy, selfish and the mark of a horrible person. We got through six dog poo bags today, only two of which were for ours...

It's bad enough that the website has become a hyperbolic, click-bait generator under Future's ownership.

But the forum (mostly the HiFi section) is slowly going the same way with pretentious, and hyperbolic 🐂💩 posted with increasing regularity

In any hobbyist forum, especially one like this where the cost of the hobby can be very high, there will always be an element of pretentiousness and hyperbolic twaddle.

Life's capriciousness. Dear old friend (who despite COPD had kept himself fit and active despite nudging 80) fell down the stairs and broke his neck this morning. Not conscious, and relatives have been told that the worst is a distinct possibility. His wife is due to retire in the next few weeks too.

I know of two older people hospitalised by home falls in the last month - one died last week (though she had cancer, it was the fall that hastened the end).

Life is fragile - and statistics confirm that homes (and especially stairs), perhaps understandably, are where most accidents occur.

Thanks. It's often said of people that they'd do anything for anyone, but this guy is the only person I know of whom that's actually true. Fingers (and everything else) are crossed - he's having an MRI today.

Forums are for asking questions, that's why they are here but, people who can't be bothered to do simple things for themselves, like looking for a shop to buy something, are just plain lazy.
