Bought this player sometime ago but not exactly sure when, it wasn't cheap is a great player but about 2 years ago when closing the draw after putting a cd in it made a strange noise and then the draw would self eject. This was intermittent and due to working away from home I stupidly put up with it not having the time to get in touch with the shop I purchased it from or contacting Roksan. Now it can take as many as five attempts for the door to stay shut. The Roksan website isn't the best I've seen and has no repair service or authorised repair dealer. Does anyone know if this is an expensive thing to fix and who is. capable of fixing such a thing, I've heard some horror stories about Richer Sounds repair service and the local hifi specialists seem uninterested. Anyone got any ideas to help?

Hi Art I would take the top off and have a look you may find a foreign body is causing your problem make sure that you unplug it from the wall as 230v realy hurts if you take the top off and it looks a bit to much put it back on no harm done

only do this if you feel confident I have repaired play station 3s among other things you may even find some one on utube with a video on how to fix your problem there are some clever people on there good luck:) :)
