ripping cd to flac

as above does anyone know the best place to download a programm for ripping my cds into flac to put on an external hdd

If you have a PC then dbpoweramp, if you have a Mac then Max. Both free - google em.

If you only want to rip try out http://www.dbpoweramp.com/ or http://www.exactaudiocopy.de. Have the advantage that the result is checked against a database with results from other rippers, so that you know if something has gone wrong.

Another +1 for EAC here!

I rip all CDs using EAC as compressed FLAC and then I use MediaMonkey as my preferred media organiser/player.
