A TV flagship gives you best results.I hadn’t appreciated there was still a market for projectors costing £6,000 plus, but I guess if you’ve a screen in a large room that’s what you need for best results?
That’s what I often felt, but I’ve never seen a great projector in a home setting.A TV flagship gives you best results.
I wish I’d seen a great one, because they always seem fuzzy compared to a telly ime.If you can accommodate it, there is no substitute for a large screen & projector for a true cinematic experience.

Mine isn't fuzzy at all. The picture quality is stunning.I wish I’d seen a great one, because they always seem fuzzy compared to a telly ime.
I’m quite sure! You’ve always been an expert in AV, iirc.Mine isn't fuzzy at all. The picture quality is stunning.
I have seen a projector at the cinema and to be honest I can’t stand them. I also have seen a projectors at home cinema shops on screens and no not for me. And I have used 2 projectors at home on the wall and they are noisy and expensive to keep and the picture is nowhere near that of my Samsung flagship QLED.That’s what I often felt, but I’ve never seen a great projector in a home setting.
You never had a proper projector system though. I repeatedly told you projecting on a wall will never give you a good image quality. I don't know why you bought so many projectors if you didn't like the projector picture quality in the shops on a screen.I have seen a projector at the cinema and to be honest I can’t stand them. I haven’t tried a £6000 plus projector at home though who has? But the black levels won’t be that of a flagship TVs, it will be noisy and very expensive to keep, bulbs for the expensive projectors with housing cost near £400! And you don’t get many hours out of them something like 3000 hours! HDR is said not to be good on a projector at £6000 and HDR is where it’s at the moment for best performance.
I only bought 2 projectors and both were faulty hence why I never bought another one. I liked the size of the image though. I like high end picture quality on TVs and yes I don’t tend to use my TV for long periods and the same was true of the projector. The projector was situated right next to me so I could really hear the noise it was like 30db quite easy to hear. You never had a proper projector system though. There was a time when your TV became redundant:

Projector use
I am finding I am only watching my BenQ projector now and my TV is increasingly becoming redundant. I watch Sky through the projector, YouTube, Blu-rays etc and the sound all through my home cinema system. How can You tell how many hours your projector does also if it’s in economy mode or not...forums.whathifi.com
My projector is over 5 years old and I haven't changed the bulb yet. So this will easily outlive your cycle of changing TVs and projectors 😉
Some of the projectors have a bulb life of over 10 years.....will easily last the lifetime of the projector.
Black levels are dependent on the screen as well as the environment. Also, I never hear the noise from my projector because it's a proper projector based home cinema system, not some temporary arrangements.
I would say next time you look at buying a projector, get a screen at the same time and get it installed professionally.Perhaps if I could find the perfect projector for myself I will buy another projector I still look at them but I have yet to find one.
Only a LCD or OLED TV will give you best brightness and dynamic range:A TV flagship gives you best results.
