I have recently ordered a Cambridge Audio 840A V2 amplifier as part of a system upgrade which will also comprise the Audiolab 8200CD and B&W 684 speakers. The online What HiFi review dated 2nd Jan 2008 gives a 4 star rating for the Cambridge Audio 840A V2 amplifier, although the print version (Feb 2008-First Tests) has a 5 star rating Although both reviews are 3 years old, they appear to be reasonably relevant as the amp has not been reviewed since. However, I was just wondering which review should be the correct one? Thanks in advance.

I'll need to double-check tomorrow (it's four stars in the Buyer's Guide, too).

But as you've already ordered the product, relax and enjoy it - whether four stars or five, that means it's a great amp

Thank you Clare! I might mention that Cambridge Audio has a copy of the 5 star What HiFi review on their website, in the reviews section of the 840A. Either way, I'm greatly looking forward to my new components, but it would be good to know if the "First Tests-Feb 2008" 5 star review can be used as a buying guide as well.
