i have a cyrus 8vs2 running with a psxr, i use a chord superscreen on the amp itself and i am happy with it. Does anyone know if adding another to the psxr would make any differerence? i thought the psxr was all about making the mains perfect but would improving the quality in improve the quality out. So has anyone tried using an aftermarket cable on a psxr?

As you can see from my kit, I have the same amp and psx-r as you. I also have the chord ss on the amp, but as I had a spare QED cable laying around from my old TV, I added it to it. I honestly can't remeber if I heard a difference, as wasn't looking for one.

Have you got the amp and psx-r plugged into a extension block or the wall? If the wall, then you might get a difference, but if say into a tacima or some other kind, then you may not.

If you can get a cheap one from flea bay, then it won't hurt to try it!

thanks for the reply potboy, i do use a tacima block, i'll probably get another superscreen as i like them and try it on the psxr, if theres no real benefit i can always use it on my the dab8 i suppose. btw i presume your bi-amping your spendors with the x-power bridged from the 8vs2, im using dynaudios that are single wired terminals, would it be possible to make a cable that goes from the 2 amps into one pair of speaker plugs?

Given the amount of spaghetti that a few psx-rs can generate, I've tended to get the Merlins if only to make me feel better!

I don't know if that is possible, as you have one amp on the hf and one on the low.

Got to admit, it does sound darn good though. Just got to get the WB sQ1, then it will sound perfect!
