Replace a V-DAC II + V-PSU II combo?

I'm wondering how much I'd have to spend to get an audible improvement over the Musical Fidelity V-DAC II/V-PSU II DAC I currently enjoy? What would I hear from, say, a Hugo or Qute?

What output would you use for the Dac?

Have looked at the Mojo manual and they say not to leave it on continuously. It's a portable device and carefully designed to be used that way. The ouput from the Pi would be coaxial (for bandwidth purposes), and I'm curious to know whether a more expensive DAC setup would be audibly more/better than the VDAC II...

the mojo can be used continually, but chord would no doubt prefer you to buy the hugo, at 3 times the price.
