Thanks to those who gave their support. I've been away enjoying some live music last night, so not given this much thought since.
On the original topic, I agree with Chebby that the new RX-range makes an entry Rega system a bit skewed price-wise. Given there is nothing else sub-£500 that gives the RS1 a hard time, I'm surprised they haven't been kept on as an affordable option for those buying the Brio-R/Apollo-R/RP1 or RP3.
I also agree with PP that Rega remain short of a top-end stand-mount speaker for partnering with the Elicit-R and Osiris, although given Rega's track record of providing a level of performance well beyond the price, the RX-1 may prove to be a good match to the Elicit-R at least.
