Rega RP1 vs Pro-Ject Genie 3

I have just upgraded to a Marantz PM6003 and am looking to replace my ageing SLB2 with either the Rega RP1 or the Project Genie 3 . I am concerned that the Genie may sound bright with the Marantz . I have Grado SR80i's and old Diesis Mini bookshelf speakers ( Early Ruarks). CD player is an old Phillips which will need replacing at some time soon aswell .

Gratefull for any advice.

Rega RP1 every time. £230

Also you have the option to get the RP1 'Performance Kit' (£85) at a later date. (Or order the RP1 from your dealer with the Performance Kit already factory fitted for £298 which saves £17 over buying seperately and saves all that hassle fitting it yourself.)

The RP1. Brightness is a product more of the cartridge than the turntable, by the way.
