rega ear headphone amplifier

hi just bought a rega ear headphone i have it connected to the tape out socket of my rotel ra-971 mk2 amplifier

what i wanted to know is it best to keep the rotel on even though i can use the rega with the amp turned off

this is my first headphone amplifier so all this is new to me thank you for any feedback anthony

The signal's just passing through so no need to keep your main amp on.

How are you finding the "Ear" by the way? This was one I was looking at last year when I was going to upgrade my Head Box, but for no good reason I got out of headphone listening so took my interest no further. And just to be really nosey, mind if I ask what your cans and source are?

i have a sony xb903e uk tuned cd player & a pair of ultrasone hfi 780 headphones the rega seems ok as it was second hand its had it's burn in you only need a little volume on my headphones anyway thank you for your post
