Hello,

Just bought a Rega Brio R amp and I'm looking for a pair of floorstanders to complete my first hifi setup.

I'm considering one of the two:
1. Cambridge Audio Aero 6
2. Jamo C97

I'm looking for some opinions on which speakers would pair best with the Rega.

Thank you :)

Welcome to the forum Sergiu.

As I tell everyone that asks questions like this you need to get speakers that are really going to work well in your particular listening room and not worry so much as to how well they will work with your amp (this is important but secondary).

Can you audition those speakers you list? (I have never heard the Jamo, or any Jamo's for that matter)

Go and audition whatever speakers you can.

Why floorstanders? How big is your room?

Thank you for the warm welcome :)

Unfortunately I can't audition them since they are sold by a store in another city (500km away) .

My room is around 20 square meters so I thought I can get away with a pair of floorstanders.

They are both on sale at great prices
(500$ for the Aero 6 and 600$ for the C97).

Quite a difficult decision...

I would suggest a 3rd option to consider... KEF Q500s. KEF speakers pair very well with the Brio-R and there seems to be good deals on the Q-Series at present.

I'd echo Al Ears' advice to audition, even if it means making a lengthy journey.
