Rega Apollo, Creek 4040, Linn Index ii - upgrading?

Hi,

im using a Rega Apollo CD with an old Creek 4040 s3 amp and Linn Index 2 Speakers with Stands (also have a Thorens TD 160 MK V).

I like the way it sounds, but im thinking of an upgrade. Possilby the speakers are the weakest part here (?)

1.

What do you think would be an eqivalent to the speakers and the amp in todays market?

2.

What would be a suggestive upgrade? Sounding it bit more refined, precise and with better separation?

The Creek 50A is excellent, cost about £750, more for phono stage.

Not sure about your speakers maybe Epos are fairly close?

Im not too shure here. Maybe in the 1000-2000 range... question is more what it costs to make the next step...

I listen to diggerent styles. From Johnny Cash to Depeche Mode, Nirvana to David Bowie, Pixies to Beatles.
