Question Record Store Day - who participated?

Just wondering how many TT fans participated in RSD on Saturday, if you did what did you pick up and not necessarily RSD specials.

I added these to my collection

The Who - Face Dances
The Police - Greatest Hits
Blues Breakers - Beano
Fleetwood Mac - Dance

Very impressed with the albums from The Police and Fleetwood Mac, still have to listen to the other two.

Of the 4 LP’s that I picked up only Face Dances was a RSD special and then from 2021.

I went here in Minneapolis. Probably picked up too many things!

Rolling Stones - Hot Rocks 2
The Replacements - Live
The Cure - Pornography
Def Leppard - High n Dry
The Walkmen - Lisbon

Unfortunately, our local indie store has closed due to the owner sadly passing away last year , so I couldn't manage the trip up to any of the Glasgow stores (40 miles away) due to work. I'm really not sure anything released would float my boat anyway but I'd have liked a good nosey though.

Probably one of the few days in the year that I avoid buying vinyl. I support my local record store sure but I have no intention of standing in a long queue attempting to buy some poor recordings that I don't actually want..... :)
Saw photos from my local. Big queues and there were saying some months back that they did not agree with RSD. They seem to have been changed and went for it big style.
will be in after payday.

That was the surprise for me, the store was very quiet, apparently the opening couple of hours had been busy but trade had dwindled as the day wore on. It was mid-afternoon when I called in and there was me and one other shopper.

I certainly wasn’t camping out as two hardy ladies did to be first through the door, I guess that I’m not a real record collector as I only buy what I like.

:)

I can never resist a nosey through a record shop, problem is I usually end up buying something.

Yep.

Lost in Vinyl in Cambridge.
I picked up Pete Townshend's Deep End - Face the face.
Great DLP from gig in early 86.
I have a boot of the gig, so good to get an official release.
Face Dances was mentioned earlier. I picked that up last year.
It's Hard was due to be released, but that has been put back to the June event.

I didn't queue up though. Apparently the first person arrived at 2:30 am!!!
