Recommended vinyl retailers?

Piccadilly, Juno (much more than just "Dance music"), Norman, Boomkat, Sounds of the Universe, Honest Jons, Diverse Vinyl, HMV, Amazon... Many more I'm sure. I quite like ordering direct from labels if I can.
My own experience of Rough Trade's mail order has been pretty poor. That was a few years ago - they might be better now.

Best I qualify my post... have only been in their east London store - good selection, and happy with the couple of LPs I picked up on a recent visit, but I have by no means extensive experience of them... they have been mentioned in a postive light in similar posts in the past though.

Sorry, I misread the original question as being re: online retailers. Rough Trade's stores are certainly ace!

shooter69:eil.com have a huge catalog of vinyl.
Proceed with caution. For standard releases Eil.com is really over-priced in my opinion, and more so for "limited" editions.
Online I prefer Amazon, eBay (various shops, some excellent), Diverse Vinyl and for exclusive, luxury editions, The Vinyl Factory.
In the real world, it's record fairs, charity shops, and the surviving pockets of vinyl vending in Leeds, namely, Jumbo and Crash.

Yes your right they CAN be expensive but the catalog of vinyl is extremely good and so is the service that comes with it.
I've done a quick comparisons search from some sites you have listed compared to EIL based on three random recent releases. These comparisons were based on items bought and to include the cheapest delivery.
Massive Attack Heligoland Triple.
Ebay £65.25
EIL £38.04
Vinyl Factory £36.18
Amazon £29.99
Hot Chip One Life Stand Ltd Edition.
Amazon £40.99
Vinyl Factory £39.94
E-bay £38.00
EIL £37.74
Rolling Stones Exile on main street.
EIL £19.74
E-bay £17.45
Amazon £16.99
Vinyl Factory n/a
EIL came top only once by £2.29.
If you bought all 3 albums from each shop his is what it would of cost you.
E-bay £120.70
EIL £95.52
Amazon £87.97
Vinyl Factory £79.12
Vinyl Factory only faired best because it didn't stock the Rolling Stones, i wonder where they would of come if they had stocked it?
E-bay faired the worst due to Massive Attack being only available from the states.
Overall Amazon came out the best due to having no postage costs.
Based on those figures shopping around will save you some money and i don't think EIL came out to badly...........................

My main gripe with Eil.com is there pricing of specific titles. I'm referring to one of my collectible bands, My Morning Jacket, whose vinyl/promo CDs and rarities seem to command inflated price tags when Eil try to sell them.
