Recommendations for amp with many inputs and 5.1 speaker system

Merry xmas everyone,

I'd love to get some recommendations and opinions on some kit I'm intending to buy in the New Year.

I'm looking to connect multiple gaming consoles, a freeview PVR and eventually a Sky+HD box into a home theatre system.

I've already got a HD TV, and am looking for a way to switch between multiple audio/video inputs and route them to the TV and a new speaker system.

The recommended 5 start Sony home theatre amps seem like a good place to start - I guess I just need to put one with a 5.1/7.1 speaker system. Any thoughts?

You might bet better response if you post in the Home Cinema forum. The chaps there know more about 5.1 etc.
