Re-Furb Airport Express Bargain.

Not sure if I am allowed to do this, I have no direct association with apple so i guess it should be ok, I have just ordered the above direct from apple uk it was at a bargain price £55 + delivery (delivery is free if you spend £78). They are going for more that that used on auction sites.

I sold mine as I never used it.

I guess if you have an iPod Touch or iPhone so you can control iTunes remotely it's fine but I found streaming music upstairs to a hi fi downstairs was pointless if you couldn't control it!

I will be setting up a NAS as an iTunes server and have PC, Netbook and Touch to control the Express which will stream in to my Main HiFi, or at least that Is what am hoping to do.

Paul, I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure that the AE needs to have iTunes running on a PC or Mac rather than an iTunes Server running on a NAS. It's the main shortcoming of using the AE that a computer running iTunes needs to be on for it to work.

Yes Looks like it needs a PC on Mow I have it set up, short term this is no big deal as PC in back room is often on when I want to listen to music, longer term I will be getting an apple TV.
