Quuestion about Marantz M-CR603 & iPod

Can anybody please tell me if iPod is charged while connected to Marantz M-CR603 usb port.

Can you also say whether it plays a non "i" mp3 through the USB or an Android phone. (suspect it will through bluetooth but anyway usb is my question).Input appreciated here.

I have only used a Sandisk 8GB memory stick and an iPhone so far. (None of us have 'Android' phones. Sorry.)

Fine with both.

My marantz cd6003 plays through usb with my android phone no problems , so i guess that this one will plays too.
