Not because the Linn is worse or better or whatever, but because the Uniti has a disc player.

If you'd said UnitiQute or Majik, I'd probably pick the Linn.

Yes Mr E, my sig is Naim-less and me too, until i have a proper Naim.

Can you tell us what other one box systems give you amp + CD + FM (& DAB) tuner + DAC + wireless streaming of similar calibre for less than the naimuniti?

This is not a 'challenge'. I would really be interested in such a box.

The last time I bought a hi-fi, I compared the Linn Majik CD/Majik I to the bottom of the range Naim equivalents. There was not much in it in terms of sound quality, though in blind testing I picked Linn over the Naim three times out of three, therefore I bought the Linn. Recently I sold the amp and bought a Majik DSI, convincing myself I was saving money. I'm very pleased with it.

If you have a turntable, the Majik has a buiilt in MM Phono Stage. The Uniti doesn't.

The Uniti does appear to be the more "complete" product though, and would probably be the one I would recommend to a friend.

Without hearing either I would think the Linn was more to my particular taste.
