Question About Musical Fidelity M1 HPA

Hi Guys,

I have been tentatively looking at this product and notice that it has a USB input. From this I assume that the Headphone Amp therefore has a DAC fitted, however I cant find any information regarding this....it isnt mentioned on the Musical Fidelity site and doesnt have any details in the user manual.

Does anybody know what the DAC is? Is it Asynchronous? What sort of file resolution will it play, does it accept 24bit 96kHz?

Just a bit bizarre that MF dont make any mention of it in their sales literature, I would assume that PC users is one of the markets its aimed at :O

Cany anybody help with the Specs?

Alternatively I may just stick to my original plan of the Arcam rDac with my X-Can V2

Hi Jason,

This USB input is not asynchronous and will do 16/44.1 using its built in 16bit DAC. This offers 8 x oversampling.

Sounds Like I will be keeping my X-Can V2 and buying an rDAC then for the time being
