quad 11L vs kef iq30

hi

i'm wondering if these 2 speakers can be compare with each other? are they in the same leag? i heard the quad and they sounded good, but i can't listen to the iq30's because there are none stores that have them.

any thoughts about this?

and what about amplifiation of these speakers? a MUST to have a pre/power amp combo? or is integraded ( pm6004) enough?

thanks PP for your awnsers and your time, i'm going for the quad 11L's , with the maranz i allready own. they say it should be a fine combo, not perfect, but ok. and going to save money for some real quality stuff like a naim or something. and for a dac, (yes i know, DAC again), i'm wondering if a balanced outup would be right for me? based on my current amp wich has no balanced in, but i can get the dac for a really good price.

The Quad is warmer sounding with stronger bass, the Kef is a bit bright with somehow metalic sound.Both are good speakers, but for Marantz I would buy the Quad
