I've noticed online you can buy qed hdmi-p cables in purple and some in white. Any difference in quality of the both?

Are these v1.3?

No difference in cables. If they're rated "high speed", they would match or exceed v1.3 specs.

Why does qed sell hdmi-e cables? Don't all hdmi cables do the Ethernet function?

No, only the ones which are labelled as having it.

No, only those rated High Speed are guaranteed to do 3D.

At the moment I have belkin pure av hdmi cables, it said on the box v1.3b. So don't know what that means!

This goes from my ps3 into my Sony dh-800 amp and them from there to the tv. When the ps3 loads a blu ray disk sometimes the tv sows full hd res at 60hz before settling down to full hd at 25hz.

Do I assume my cables support high speed?

One last question! Will my amp pass through the 3d data to the tv? I brought the amp back early 2010. Reading online, some say amps that doesn't say 3d supported wont do it and some say they do! Confused!

It doesn't look like it - Sony released the DH-810 which has the necessary 1.4 spec ports to allow 3D pass through. You can still get 3D by buying a Blu-ray player with dual HDMI outputs e.g. Panasonic DMP-BDT310 or the Pioneer BDP-LX55.
