QAcoustics 1050i plus Subwoofer?

Hi all,

Got a great price on some 1050i Floorstanders and I already have the 5.1 1010i package.

Does it matter that the 1050i provide bass as well as the subwoofer, I am going to put the fronts setting to large on the amp and then go from there.

Just wondered if this is going to make a difference at all, with a sub and the fronts both providing bass?

As subwoofers are designed to produce bass, I have set my 1030i's to 'small' with a crossover of 60Hz.

Thus letting my sub to most of the work, and also stopping the bass cones on the 1030i 'fly around' wildly with explosions etc, on movies.......which could result in 'blown' cones...

When I listen to cd's I only use the 1030i's, though, through Denon's 'Pure Direct' mode....again, the crossover is at 60Hz, as the speakers ony go down to 48Hz....

I did the unthinkable and looked in the manual where is states to put the 1050i to large.
