q acoustics sub settings pls

Hi. I have the 2020i fronts, 2000ci centre, q-av rears and 7000s sub. What cross over setting should I have for the sub, av or can it be more specific?

Hi Shane,

Thank you for choosing Q Acoustics loudspeakers.

Ideally you would set the 7000 sub to the 'AV' position and then set the individual crossover frequencies on your home cinema amplifier. If you are able to do this then set the centre, front left and front right speakers to 80Hz and the rear speakers to 150Hz.

If your amplifier doesn't allow different settings for the front and rear speakers then set the sub to AV and all the other speakers to 150Hz.

The 'variable' crossover control on the sub is generally only used with a stereo (not home cinema) amplifier.

Thanks for this. Setting up asap. What volume level shall I have it set at when to avr speaker setup?

The avr said to set at 5 volume which I guessed was correct. Changed to 80/150 and ybf sounds great. About time to test it on something better. Thanks for your help and for great speakers. 5 stars.

PS. Will I hear any improvement if I change q-av rears to 2010i when I have the extra cash?
