Complete noob to the forum although been reading a long time hope you can assist.
I have a mixed 5.1 setup with a couple of old speakers as my fronts and am upgrading them. Just got a Q Acoustics 2000 centre and am looking at fronts. I already have a Yamaha sub which does a more than decent job but wondered if anyone had an opinion on the above speakers. The speakers need to be quite close to the wall, probably about 30cm or less and I see that this could cause the QA's problems. The 9.1's have been around forever but no-one says a bad word about them and they are only £99 from Superfi now. The 2020's are a wee bit more but I could quite happily go to £200 thought about the 10.1's but not sure how much of an improvement on the QA or 9.1, not keen on the Mission MX1's and my missus cant stand the look of the BX2's (plus they stretch my budget a bit much at £225)
I am running a Onkyo 606 amp and my room is about 18'x14' with quite high ceilings.
If anyone has other suggestions I am certainly open to more research. Your help and opinion is greatly appreciated
