Q-Acoustics 2020 or 2050?

A question about the Q-Acoustics cinema package:

Is it worth to go for the 2050 speakers ? They have more bass than the 2020, but is this really necessary if I'd use them in combination with the 2070 subwoofer?

Both are bi-wirable ?

I'd use them for home-theater but also for plain music. I'm thinking of combining them with a Pioneer VSX-2020. I know this one is a bit overkill, but I like to be future proof.

tnx

If I were you, I'd get the QA 2050's.....

I started with the QA 1010i package, but quickly purchased the QA 1030i's for the front.

I'd also reconsider whether the QA sub is worth buying too......

Just upgraded my sub to the AE Radiance, and it's transformed my system....and the QA 1010i sub is meant to be better than the 2070 sub......

Maybe use a company that you can 'tailor make' your package.....

QA 2050, 2000 centre, 2010 rears and a good subs.......sounds good.....

Thanks for this quick response.

You convinced me, I'll go for the 2050's. I"ll buy the sub as well and maybe I'll only use it for movies...

Do you know if bi-wiring makes any difference ?

Bi amp-ing is the way to go......assuming your receiver allows it.

Seriously thou, I wouldn't bother with the sub.....

Look for the AE Radiance on a certain popular auction site for £205. 'B' stock from AE, but looks brand new!! It's worth over £500......

It's so much better......

tnx, I had found that one already.

But I just placed an order in a Belgian online store. It's more expensive but at least there's no shipping cost and I got 10% off. Also, this way I don't have any issues with warranty.
