Q Acoustics 2000 or KEF 2005.2

I am going to be upgrading my system early in the New Year and will be swapping my Sony 1200es for the Denon 2310 av receiver. I currently have KEF 2005.2 speaker system but with a faulty SUB which will cost £150 to repair so i am thinking about selling my KEF eggs and putting the money towards the Q Acoustics 2000.

My Question is would i be right in changing the KEF's for the Q Acoustics or do we feel the KEF's are worth keeping?

I have seen a great deal on a combo purchase of the Denon 2310 & Q Acoustics 2000 for under £1100 which is very tempting!

Any advice or any other options i have not mentioned would be most welcome!

Assuming that's £1100

, that's a pretty good deal, and while the QAcous may lack the cute appeal of the KEF eggs, I think that you'll get a superior sound.

Look in the December issue of WhatHiFi magazine which was out today page 144 under package deals. I reckon i could get another £50 off that as well when i decide i am actually gonna purchase them both.

i was quoted for 2 arc stands, 2 qed performence hdmi's, 25m qed micro, 10 banana plugs, denon 2310 for £901.95 and the speakers are coming in next week which i was goin to pick up when they come in. But if i can get them to do that deakli will see if they will do another deal with the stands cables etc aswel.

Just been reading through some magazines and see that the B&W 685 Theatre package is also fantastic.

I know that i am talking an extra £500 but i have an interest free credit card here! how would these speakers compare to the Q Acoustics 2000 for sound quality is it worth the extra £500?

I also looked at these speakers, but there isnt many stockest (or im just blind) and can't find package deals on these aswel (with the denon)

No it looks like there are only a handful of shops that stock B&W so might be harder to get a deal!

I will give it a go though as there are 3 or 4 companies i can find who do stock them
