Ok, got my new home cinema set up and running well. It consists of onkyo 606, Panasonic TH42 PX80, and Sony 350 blu ray player. The Q Acoustic speaker system mentioned in the title is connected and to be honest it sounds and looks amazing.

But may curiosity is getting the better of me!! Even though I have the 1010i front speakers on sand filled stands and on granite plinths, I'm still wondering if a front speaker upgrade would be worth while, especially as I use the amp and speakers with my cd player too (Marantz CD63 K I).

I have always had floorstanders and wonder if upgrading to the Q Acoustics 1030i would be a worth while upgrade??

I notice the older non 'i' system, had a system to include the 1050 as the front speaker, but the review suggests poor blending in with the 1010 rears. Would my suggestion be a better match?

Has anyone tried this idea?

Anyone from the 'what hifi' team know the answer to my original question............

Also, are the Q Acoustic 1030i going to be reviewed sometime soon?

As the older version was a 5 star speaker, would it not be a good idea to see if the new version is even better?

Sorry to hi-jack pete. But how do these speakers compare to the B&W MT-20 package. I cant decide on speakers at the moment, do the Bowers kit justify the extra money. Style wise they do, but just wondering on sound difference?

Hi John,

Where did you see that review? Looked through the net and can't find any review on the 1030i speakers?

Soulstyle - that speaker package costs twice as much, is I assume will be better....
