Hi all..

Since all discs players are invented with laser lens point upward, dusts sticked under discs could be easily drop onto lens while spinning, resulting difficulties to read, and even break in future. This is a threat that might no be realised by inventors since the development of cd players long time ago.

I have an idea on how to take good care of your disc players. You can put your disc players upside down right after the disc tray is closed. I did it once. It worked normal. But i dont do it anymore

Thank you Curious. Disc players do not need gravity. The disc inside will be clamped at its centre hole and spinned directly by a motor-linked object. Disc tray is just a tool of transportation

Pioneer invented the Stable Platter Mechanism back in the early/mid 90's which involved the CD being placed upside down and being read from above. This was mainly to support the whole of the CD rather than just the centre. It worked well, and Teac used it in their CD transports along with a couple of other high end manufacturers. For some reason it just disappeared. Shame really.
