Just got the ps4 set up but need help on the sound output mode , linear pcm , bitstream dolby or bitstream dts (or pro logic cant remember) ? This is running via hdmi straight into my yamaha 671 reciever . Its currently set to linear pcm but not sure which is best to use ?
Ps4 blu ray sound output options . Which setting ?

I'd suggest sticking with Linear PCM - most game soundtracks will likely have their soundtrack in this format (it was the case with the PS3) rather than Dolby or DTS encoded. Watching a Blu-ray will mean the PS4 will decode any HD tracks in Dolby TrueHD or DTS Master Audio so you'll be getting the HD sound on both.
I'd also suggest sticking to PCM as well - there have been quite a few reports on some of the game forums of glitches when using bitstream when watching blu-rays.
