PS3 video help

I am playing Blu Ray films through a PS3 into a Panasonic TH42PZ70.

Is the picture quality likely to be better with the PS3 at default (converting 24 to 60hz?) or letting the TV do the conversion and setting the the PS3 at 24hz?

We've found that Pana quite happy accepting the PS3's 24fps signal.
