PS3 picture noise

Howdy peeps.

I seem to have a problem with noise when playing dvd and BD on my PS3.

Has anyone have suffered with his problem ?

System - Pioneer PDP436XDE - Onkyo 606 (used for hdmi switching) - monster 1000 HDMI cable.

I also have a tosh EP35 and when comparing picture quality between HD DVD and BD planet earth their like chalk and cheese.

Check picture settings on PS3 xmb. Also is it all DVDs and Blu-rays or any in particular.

all dvd's and BD's.

I was thinking it could have been the settings on my tv. ill have a play with it tonight .

what settings should I use on the PS3 ????????

I have picture noise issues with My PS3 but only on the menu screen where I get flashes of white noise, I am awaiting a replacment PS3 from Sony.
