Project Debut Carbon too quiet

Hi

I've just bought a Project Debut Carbon and I've connected it to my NAD 3020 amp which goes to my Q Acoustics 2020i speakers.

I am getting sound from this setup but it's very quiet.

Anyone know any possible reason for this? Cables are fine by the looks of things.

is without a built in phono stage...

then you do indeed require an external phono stage... that's your problem.
