Looking at 2 x Panasonic 40" TVs. One has a processing rate of 50Hz, the other is 100Hz. Is this something the human eye can detect in PQ. Can't see a difference in the shop, but with shop settings generally having most of the settings wound right up it's probably not a fair comparisn in that environment.

Taken another look at the specs on these TVs. The 'Processing Rate' figures feature prominently on the main ads for both sets. When I look further into the specs they appear to change the name to 'Motion Rate' under the sub-heading of Picture Quality. I'm not too conversant with TV specs so not sure what the figures mean or if they are even relevant.

Thanks Simon. Article seems to indicate that the higher the number the better, but the viewer may not notice a difference. I liked the way it led onto a further article 'Why All HDMI Cables Are The Same'

I've spent many years in Cable Television so fully understand how to get signals to a TV set, but never really looked into the TV set itself.
