problems streaming to my ps3

i have a windows7 accer laptop and i had a few vob files and avch files that my ps3 picked up over the internet. then i bought an external harddrive and put them on it and i cant get the ps3 to see them or even the orignal ones any ideas

Hi, you may need to change your external HDrive to FAT files that the PS3 can read. If you go onto you tube enter in "PS3 Exrernal hard drive format FAT, (i think its FAT32) THERE ARE VIDEOS ON THERE showing you step by step. I did mine but its a while now since i did mine. Good look

...also. Unless you put the files in specifically named folders on the hard drive, you simply need to navigate to the drive in the XMB and then click the triangle key, and "select all".
