Also if it you want I could remote connect to your PC to troubleshoot sometime this week or next.

Also another one to try and this is a shotgun approach. Go into start, Run, type 'msconfig' without quotes and hit enter.

A new screen will appear with tabs, in the startup tab uncheck everything. Hit apply but don't reboot.

Now move to the services tab and check the box that says 'hide Microsoft services', now uncheck everything again, hit apply then reboot.

Do you still have the issue?

Dont worry, this is all easily reversed but what it will do is highlight if something you've installed is causing a problem at boot.

I've tried this, i might give it a few days to see how i get on, i will think about remote access i might let you know the beginning of next week, *drinks* for the help btw.

Hey Simon no problem.

if you've tried the above you should notice your PC is a bit quicker in general which is nice. If that hasn't resolved your issue then I would test if the same behaviours occurs in different browsers.

another thing to try is to fully reset your browser, remove all plugins and delete cache etc but be warned clearing your cache will dependig on browser also delete your stored passwords which is annoying.

Hopfully your sorted but please post back if you want more help.
