Absolutly gutted, been a fan since I was in my twenties, seen him at Wembley 3 times.

Been a great fan of his music since my college years through early to mid 80s, culminating with Purple Rain. Loved some of his later music as well, but those early years were my favourite. A most prolific and talented musician/singer/songwriter.

Rest in peace, Prince Rogers Nelson.

Prince will be deeply missed.He was one of my favourite artists from my early teenage years and still is.the word genius is flaunted all to often but not on this sad occasion.RIP Prince.

Genuinely shocked by this - the 'stars' of my youth are gone.

I was a Jackson man myself. You had to be there at the time to appreciate the rivalry between these two. It was a good time.

But later I really started to appreciate Prince's work.

Only Madonna is left from that era of pop.
