I am thinking of buying a second hand pair of Audio Smile Kansai Plus Advantage which are the speakers with dedicated subs. This means I would need a preamp which I have never needed before so I have zero knowledge. My SACD is a Marantz SA-11S3.
I am told this is an active speaker with single ended 47K ohm input impedance.
I would be grateful for any advice for a suitable preamp. I don't want to spend over £500 so probably looking for second hand. Any advice would be great. I wound also appreciate any comments if anyone else has heard these speakers.

If they are powered speakers how do you connect the subs?
ignore that, check again as I don't think they are powered, only the sub section serms to be.....
As far as I can see they are ordinary Kansais sat on a tower section that had a powered sub inbuilt.

From how you describe your system. It sounds very much like it is configured like a 2.1 system for a PC. Powered sub feeding satellite speakers.

Strictly this is not a pre-amp, but I would recommend an Audiolab 6000A.
This is an integrated amp, but has a pre-amp output and within your price range (see ebay etc)

No its two separate tower speakers each with a powered sub base unit.
All he needs is a simple preamp, apparently.
