Preamp with DAC

Hey

I am looking for a Preamp that also incorporates a DAC to go with a pair of active speakers I'm about to purchase, other than the Beresford can anyone recommend anything else?

Budget wise I'm looking to spend upto £250 and connection wise I'd like USB if possible although the requirement is not set in stone for USB. I like the look of the Beresford but if possible I’d like something with a remote control. The active speakers in question will be the Quad 11la’s

Any recommendations greatly appreciated.

DACMagic Plus from Richer Sounds, currently on sale @ £250.

I use mine with my BM5As and it worked a treat.

For a remote, you will struggle and as far as I know, the only product with remote at your budget, is the Matric Mini-i DAC.

The Beresford is also reputed to be very good, but no remote.
