pre-amp for turntable

My system consists of Onkyo 606 suround amp,kef 1005.2 surorund speaker system,Sony Blu-ray player,Sony CD player.

I came across my old dual 505.3 turntable in the attic and was questioned by my 9 and 11 year old sons(what the hell is that)

along with my vinal collection.I know i need an pre phono amp in order to connect the turntable to my surround amp, in order to let them see it working ,but im looking to spend as little as needed to do this as it will get very little use i bought a cheep one in maplins but it had no ground terminal connection and it did not work,so i need one that has phono and ground connection,please help.

Have a look at the Richer Sounds website and look at getting a 540p; good value in my opinion!

Thanks for reply,just purchased a nad pre-amp which is very good and just a bit cheaper than the 540p

The nad pp2 is an amazing budget pre amp, good choice.
