I can personally vouch for TM3 CONNECTIONS on ebay. Ive tried all sorts and nothing comes close to them for the price (Even tried the silver ones against a NORDOST worth over 500 quid)

Id put 16 core solid silver machine braided cables on your amps, and a 16 core copper machine braided on the cd player

why the different metals on the different bits?

Because the silver version is expensive (like 3 times as much approx). Ive found amps like silver better whilst using copper braid on the sources etc is easily good enough (The braid removing a LOT of mains bourne interference and keeps a lot of EMI out too)

Hell ~ if moneys no object then use solid silver 16 core braid all round.

Rik - at the moment I have a Russ Andrews Classic Powerkord and Clearer Audio Copperline Alpha on 60 day trial. If I returned these I could get two of the TM3 Silver braided cables for a few quid less. Would this represent an improvement in your opinion? Cheers DD

You wouldnt be able to get the SOLID SILVER 16 core ones cheaper (the copperline is about 35 quid isnt it?)

Im wondering if youve confused some SILVER PLATED cables with SOLID silver?

I havnt tried any clearer audio cables but I HAVE tried Russ Andrews, Isotek, Merlin and Nordost and the solid silver ones beat them all (The nordost was 500 quid to buy!)

But im 99.9% sure the 16 core COPPER braided cables would be a hugh increase in quality on what youve 'borrowed' (once properly 'run in')

It was the solid silver ones I was thinking of but can't find them on the TM3 site.

I'm gonna leave it anyway - spent enough on cables this year.

Cheers Rik - that's not as steep as I thought, my RA lead was £110 so the TMA would only be 40 quid more - hmmmmm. See what you've done!!

Well trust me. Once fully 'run in' (they sound AWFUL for the first couple of weeks), these babys are unbelievable for the price.

Like one guy said after trying them out ~
"SILVER16C.I LOVE THIS CABLE..its as though im upgrading my hardware
with this cable, similar in characteristics of the 8c yellow, but with
the addition of this HUGE SOUNDSTAGE,making instruments 10x larger than
there size..BUT BURNING IN IS CRUCIAL TO GET RESULTS"

But again, if moneys tight. Id go for 16 core solid silver on amps and 16 core copper on everything else
