no just power amps in general.they just seem expensive for what you get compared to the integrated amps

I agree with dan - generally, power amps are about £100 less than an integrated s/hand. Certainly, Arcam do benefit from being bi-amped.

The chasis is often the most expensive part of a HiFi component... So an Integrated will mean one chasis for both the pre and power amp... So removing the pre section, often won't cut a lot of costs from the price (as the chasis is still the same size) and they'll still use the same size power supply (another costly area)...
