Hi there,

coming straight to the point:
I´m currently owning a pair of AKG K712Pro and the Shure SE315 and want to upgrade my listening experience a bit. I mostly use the Shure´s since their my go-to drivers when I´m out on the move^^. So my question mostly surrounds them.

I´m searching for a way to stream high quality music from my phone to some sort of bluetooth receiver which is then conected to some sort of protable DAC with furthermore conects to the IEMs.

First I thought of the Astell&Kern XB10 Bluetooth Dongle since it is essentialy what I´m looking for, yet I would be able to upgrade the DAC-part without buying a completely new device. Thus leading me to ask if there is a better solution to my problem? :)

Mostly I´m just concerned with upgrading that setup in the future, like (as mentioned) changing the DAC etc. And I really like the idea of bluetooth.

My budget is about 200-300€, but I might spend even a bit more if theres a good alternative to the AK XB10.

With many thanks in advance and kind regards
Max

PS: Sorry for my bad english, it´s not my main language. I hope my post is still readable and understandable.

Not really my field of expertise but I was wondering why you need the Bluetooth device. Better to connect your phone directly to a DAC / headphone amplifier.

First of all, thanks for your reply.
Well, I thought that it might be a lot more convenient having my phone free from dongles and still good audio quality, when I'm moving around (on a walk, train, bus etc.)

I would have thought especially with hires files a wired connection would have been preferred. Simply attach phone to something like the Oppo HA2 and your done. No dongles, fits in you pocket.... sorted.

Just my opinion though, it's what I used to do.

The HA-2 should be a good bet with IEMs because it has a low gain option.
