how do,i am still thinking of getting a blueray player but am still not sure my lg tv is only 32"and not full hd should i bother or stick with my dvd player..plz help.cheers.

Ey oop and sithee, Uncle. If you have a 32in TV and you don't have a home cinema sound system capable of handling the HD audio formats, I think sticking to your DVD player for now seems a sensible course of action.

my hi fi is a tecnicks the one that plays dvd and is 5.1 can i put a blue ray to that or not..i know nothing.

No, just HD-ready - 1366x768 panel IIRC.

And no, the Technics systems can't process HD audio from Blu-ray.

thanks a lot.wot do u think of the sharp aquos 37" with blueray player for 550 notes is it any good.

We rated both the TV and the Blu-ray player as OK, but nothing special. See here and here.

I don't think a slightly bigger TV and an outdated Blu-ray player is the solution: you'd do better to hang fire until decent 'Blu-ray-in-a-box' all-in-one systems become more affordable, then think about combining one of them with a larger TV.

BTW I deleted the multiple cross-posts, as they'll only get everyone confused about what's been answered and what hasn't.
