Please help!! Tidal connect Yamaha wxad-10 advice.

So I bought a wxad-10 streamer and use Tidal.
I stream through the music cast app no bother but find the Tidal app better to use but am I streaming from WiFi or airplay?????

Iv looked online and it says tidal connect through the tidal app means I’m streaming from WiFi but it says airplay in the connection tab.
Know what I mean?
I want to stream but am I just Bluetoothing???
There is a clear difference from when I Bluetooth to my amp to connect to the wxad-10 but should I use tidal app or music cast app for greater results?

Frustrated.

No.
If you connect a device to your LAN wireless, you are using WiFi.
Airplay is a protocol (Apple) for streaming audio over the WiFi.
It is said to be lossless up to 16 bit / 48 kHz

Bluetooth audio is lossy compression and it works independently of the WiFi

Ah right so you think even though the app shows airplay it is actually streaming.
That’s the good thing about Amazon HD, that it displays device capabilities and what it’s actually playing at so at least you know where you are at.

I can hear an improvement from Bluetooth to airplay and then can’t really from airplay to using music cast app so your probably right. Thanks.
