I have the Monitor Audio bx2 SPEAKERS

http://www.whathifi.com/Review/Monitor-Audio-Bronze-BX2/

and the Rega Brio-R AMP

http://www.whathifi.com/review/rega-brio-r/specs

Now everytime I have a party at my house and invite friends over, I blast it and turn up the sound. The amp gets hotter and hotter and then suddenly music turns into noise. I leave it to rest, and it works fine until I play loud music again. If it's not loud, there's no problem What should I do? Someone told me that the amp isn't powerful enough to play loud music and I need a more powerful one, I am very ignorant and need help. I just need something that will be powerful enough to handle loud music every week.

I was looking into this amp

http://www.whathifi.com/review/yamaha-rx-v375

But I don't know if I'll have the same problem? What causes this and how can I fix it?

You're driving the amp too hard which is why it's overheating. Keep doing that and you'll kill it and/or the speakers too. Get a more powerful one, but how big is your room and what levels are you looking to hit??

Have a look here:

BTW, the Yamaha you linked to is a 5.1 AV amp - is that really what you want? Perhaps better to look at a Yamaha AS-500 or AS-700, both have a fair bit more power than the Rega. The thing to look for in the specs is the power output. Rega has 50watts per channel, the Yam is 85 or thereabouts I think.

Maybe you need bigger speakers too... how big is your room? "Big big" as you describe it, probably needs more than what you have currently. Also, in party mode, lots of bodies soak up the sound.

Keep what you have fot hi-fi and buy a pair of these for the parties. There are bigger and smaller versions to suit your room/budget.

Did you not realise that a 50 watt amp is not for parties? If you go over half volume you're likely to cause 'clipping' or distortion and this damages the speaker, and with persistent use, the amp.

If you're a party animal then look at DDC suggestion or buy yourself a MF A300 with some Wharfedale Valdus 500 speakers. The speakers won't sound great but they'll pump out the volume, allied to the 200 watt MF amp.
