Playlist stuck on repeat on iPod Touch

Currently, when I go into a playlist on my touch, it just repeats the same song again and again rather than working its way through the playlist. Can anyone help with how to stop this happening as I can't find the repeat function anywhere?

try this...when the song is playing touch the screen so the time elapsed bar is showing. under the time gone, rather than time remaining there is a symbol which loops round on itself. I suspect that is highlighted blue and probaby is showing a 1. press that so it is unhighlighted.
